A perfect morning greeted a bumper crowd of runners from clubs in Norfolk as they competed in the annual Valentines 10K organised by Norfolk Gazelles. Bright sunny day for over 800 runners at the Snetterton Race Track. The first ever marathon to be held at the venue was well received by runners. A mixed weekend of timing. Back to Ocean Lakes Triathlon club to time their first Triathlon of the year. Two further events and a series of weekday aquathlons to come. Full details at https://www.oceanlaketri.co.uk/ The derby proved popular with the kids. 80 or so to part. The 1.5k course takes in loads of small horse jump obstacles and a few river runs. Lots of fun. There was also a 5k adults course that could be ran once twice or 3 times. The main event for this venue Steeplechase takes place on 27 October. They are all busy weekends for us at the moment. May is our busiest month. One of our timers worked in Ipswich on Saturday timing the JAFFA 5K and then made his way to the Moors Valley Run in Sunny Dorset for an early start on Sunday. That's quite a round trip.
